Our Mission Statement:
Paradise Place Community Christian School provides a developmentally appropriate early childhood curriculum. Paradise Place works on behalf of the Christian community in Crested Butte to nurture and educate children and their families. We offer a small and personal environment which teaches children values such as: compassion, spiritual growth, responsibility, and self-worth.
About Paradise Place School
Paradise Place Preschool is located at 404 Maroon Avenue in Crested Butte, Colorado. The school started out small, with classes held three mornings in the back room of the Union Congregational Church in 1988. Today we have our own building with four classrooms and we serve approximately 50 families. We employ eight teachers, one director as well as an office manager, and a grant writer.
We are governed by the 9-13 member Paradise Place Committee. The committee is made up of the pastor of the Union Congregational Church, the director(s) of the school, representatives of the three churches – Union Congregational, Oh Be Joyful, and Queen of All Saints – parents, and community members.
